Oli & Mele Book

Oli (chant) and mele (song) are part of the Native Hawaiian cultural protocol used in the Hui Mālama O Ke Kai programs.
This book was compiled to be used as a resource by the Hui Mālama O Ke Kai program participants and their families. The oli and mele contained in this resource includes traditional peices as well as pieces composed specifically for our program. Credit is given to composers when applicable. We welcome all to learn and practice and share this important aspect of our culture, but ask that credit is given where it is due to the creators of these chants and songs.
