The Parents Council Advisory Board (Aha Ka Mākua Ola) will meet on Wednesday, November 10th at 6:30pm in the HMKF office. The "Aha" provides guidance and support both to the youth programs and the HMKF organization's Board of Directors.
All parents of youth involved in the HMK programs for at least one year are invited to join the "Aha".
Some of the topics on this meeting's agenda include:
- The end-of-the-year incentive activity for familes
- The annual Family-Based Retreat
- The end-of-the-year Hō’ike

HMK 'ohana are invited to Kaiona Beach Park this Saturday from 10am-2pm. We will be sharing the work the keiki and 'opio have been doing to manage the health of the reef at Kaiona, and show you some things you can do to kokua.
Hui Makua will be hosting a potluck BBQ lunch. Please join us!
The Opio program will be hosting some visitors from Aotearoa who are here to participate in the Healing Our Spirit Worldwide Conference. We will be sharing our cultures and enjoying a performance of "Maui Tamatoa" by the performing arts family/troop, Te Karito Kura Wananga. Friday, September 3rd from 5-7pm at the Waimanalo Health Center.
